Empowering SME Development Through Data-Driven Enterprise Management
Empretec Ghana supports Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through interventions aimed at strengthening business capacity, improving performance and promoting sustainable growth. Managing information on beneficiary SMEs, interventions and outcomes required a centralised system capable of transforming programme data into actionable management information.
INDEX was engaged to design, develop and operationalise an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for Empretec Ghana, providing an integrated platform for managing SME beneficiaries and monitoring programme interventions.
The system enables Empretec to create comprehensive profiles of beneficiary SMEs, record their participation and maintain a structured history of interventions provided. It captures specific interventions and their impact on each SME, enabling the organisation to assess how its support contributes to business development.
The platform also provides KPI analysis and intervention indicator tracking, allowing programme managers to monitor performance and evaluate outcomes against defined indicators. Its credit facilitation analysis capability supports the tracking and assessment of financing-related interventions provided to participating SMEs.
INDEX was engaged to design, develop and operationalise an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System for Empretec Ghana, providing an integrated platform for managing SME beneficiaries and monitoring programme interventions.
To support evidence-based decision-making, the ERP generates management and ad-hoc reports, providing timely information for programme monitoring, evaluation, planning and strategic management.
By integrating SME profiling, intervention tracking, impact assessment, KPI analysis, credit facilitation and reporting into one platform, INDEX enabled Empretec Ghana to adopt a more efficient, structured and data-driven approach to managing SME development programmes.
